Combilift is the world’s largest manufacturer of multidirectional forklifts, side loaders and articulated forklifts. We are proud to work with Combilift as one of the official resellers here in New Zealand, offering a range of high-quality, innovative forklifts.
History of Combilift
Based in Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland, Combilift was established in 1998 with only three employees.
The company’s founders, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar, pooled their expertise, experience and vision to create something special in the industry.
They hit the ground running, developing the world’s first multidirectional all-wheel drive IC engine-powered forklift – the very first Combilift. In that first year, they produced 18 units, all but one of which were exported overseas.
Since then, Combilift has enjoyed unparalleled growth, today employing around 700 people locally and over one hundred more globally.
Last year, the company delivered its 60,000th truck off its production line – which was promptly shipped to Australasia.
You’ll find Combilift machines in use in 85 countries around the world, with 145 new machines rolling off the production line every week.
Approach to innovation and sustainability
Combilift equipment has a reputation for being expertly designed, innovative, reliable and hardwearing.
The company has won dozens of high-profile awards of the past two decades, including 10 prestigious industry awards from the Forklift Truck Association, Red Dot Design Awards for its safety features, and numerous business awards for its overall success.
Combilift also aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible, committing to a sustainable business philosophy. The production facility has been awarded ISO 9001 international quality management system, ISO 14001 Environment Management and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series.
These honours are only awarded to organisations that are serious about improving employee safety, reducing workplace risks, and creating better, safer working conditions.
As part Combilift’s drive to help customers achieve their aims of more sustainable operations, over 60% of the company’s output is now electric. Recent models such as the Combi-XLE and now the Combi-FSE focus on heavier-duty applications for industry sectors such as timber, steel, tubes & pipes, and builders merchants.
